Shit From Nowhere Vol. 1

A couple of months ago I contacted my friend Randy Vale about doing a zine. I’ve been wanting to do one for awhile now. Luckily he was as stoked as me about putting something together. I then asked Jim and my friend Kyle Cannon to submit some drawings as well. With our forces combined we came up with the first Volume of Shit From Nowhere.

It’s a collection of 26 drawings that we felt were worthy enough to bless your eyes with. We made an edition of 30 and each zine is hand numbered. If you would like a copy, we are currently selling them for 5 bucks. I have some copies available in my store.

SHIRTS! SHIRTS! SHIRTS!

So maybe its been a little to long, but thats just how things go sometimes. Especially when graduation is literally right around the corner. Recently for a class project I finally I did what I’ve wanted to for some time now, put one of my illustrations on a t-shirt. I think it looks pretty sweet. I also made a “I Hope This Makes You Happy” t-shirt. I’m thinking the logo needs to be made a just a little bigger. I  plan on having both shirts for sale soon. I’ll have more information on that later.

Whats That?

As many of know, for the past 7 weeks or so I have been doing this project that I call “I Hope This Makes You Happy“. Pretty much it involves me creating a 6×6 drawing each week and putting it up somewhere around town. The other day I decided that I want to included something else with each drawing. Its a 4×4 card that I screen-printed. I’m pretty stoked with how they turned out. The only way to get one is if you find one of the drawings, and if you do find one I Hope It Makes You Happy.

Me and Mark

A few weeks ago a friend of mine, Josh James, hired me to do some design work for a few of his bands. He’s in a couple of local bands, Evergreen Terrace and Casey Jones and he has a new band with Mark O’Quinn called Me and Mark. He asked me if I would do the design for the Me and Mark demo as well as the tour Admat for the upcoming Evergreen/Casey Jones Australian tour. Below are some pictures of both the final printed Me and Mark demo and the Australian tour Admat.

In The Shoe Show – Underbelly@Anomaly

Recently we had the opportunity to join other local artists to participate in a show hosted by the good people of Underbelly @ Anomaly called, The Shoe Show. Emily Moody & Shea Slemmer are wonderful hosts who are doing a lot of good things with their location in Five Points. We took to the call to artists as an opportunity to have fun with a different kind of canvas. We had three sets of shoes represented at the show. One set, a collaboration of both our illustrations mixed in together, and the other two sets were done individually. They can still be seen up at Underbelly, and if you have never been there, with its outdoor setting and tree-house DJ booth, it’s definitely a place to check out in Five Points.
