The Foul Mouths

This past week was the annual AIGA Cocktails & Creatives Bowling Night. This event brings together members and non-members for an evening of competition, fun and camaraderie. I have taken an interest in doing more with digital illustrations, and took this event as an opportunity to practice by putting together a team name, the Foul Mouths and creating a poster for our team table. Our team didn’t win.. or even come close for that matter, but we had a lot of fun and it was great to come out and see everyone as always. Check out the winners on the AIGA Jacksonville Chapter blog, and pictures form the event on their Flckr account.

Shit From Nowhere Vol. 1

A couple of months ago I contacted my friend Randy Vale about doing a zine. I’ve been wanting to do one for awhile now. Luckily he was as stoked as me about putting something together. I then asked Jim and my friend Kyle Cannon to submit some drawings as well. With our forces combined we came up with the first Volume of Shit From Nowhere.

It’s a collection of 26 drawings that we felt were worthy enough to bless your eyes with. We made an edition of 30 and each zine is hand numbered. If you would like a copy, we are currently selling them for 5 bucks. I have some copies available in my store.

SHIRTS! SHIRTS! SHIRTS!

So maybe its been a little to long, but thats just how things go sometimes. Especially when graduation is literally right around the corner. Recently for a class project I finally I did what I’ve wanted to for some time now, put one of my illustrations on a t-shirt. I think it looks pretty sweet. I also made a “I Hope This Makes You Happy” t-shirt. I’m thinking the logo needs to be made a just a little bigger. I  plan on having both shirts for sale soon. I’ll have more information on that later.

Whats That?

As many of know, for the past 7 weeks or so I have been doing this project that I call “I Hope This Makes You Happy“. Pretty much it involves me creating a 6×6 drawing each week and putting it up somewhere around town. The other day I decided that I want to included something else with each drawing. Its a 4×4 card that I screen-printed. I’m pretty stoked with how they turned out. The only way to get one is if you find one of the drawings, and if you do find one I Hope It Makes You Happy.
